Chickasaw City Councilman Adam Bourne is a member of the Chickasaw United Methodist Church (where he serves on the Administrative Council), and a graduate of both the University of Alabama School of Law and the University of South Carolina. A former Alabama assistant attorney general, Bourne once served as administrative assistant to the secretary of state of Alabama.
Bourne is the secretary of the Chickasaw Kiwanis Club and the vice-president of the Mobile County Municipal Association. Bourne is also a member of the Chickasaw Chamber's Board of Directors, the Mobile County Consortium Review Committee and the Mobile County Housing Committee.
Bourne serves as finance chairman of the City Council and as the Council's representative to the Chickasaw Library Board. Additionally, Bourne represents Chickasaw on the Mobile County Republican Executive Committee.
Prior to taking office as a councilman, Bourne was chairman of Chickasaw's Commercial Development Board and was vice-chairman of its Industrial Development Board. Bourne has served a rotation as mayor pro tempore of Chickasaw.
Bourne is married to the former Jenny Parker, who is a public school teacher and vice chair of the Chickasaw Historic Commission.
